Tour Salar de Uyuni 1D<\/strong>, we will start our tour in the 4×4 vehicle destined for the occasion. This full day Salar de Uyuni will take us through the main attractions of this, one of the main attractions of the Bolivian highlands.<\/p>\n

The first stop will be the train cemetery,<\/strong> a must for those who visit Uyuni and a record of how prosperous the area was. Afterwards, we will go to Colchani, where we will be able to see and buy handicrafts, as well as see the process of making products from salt.<\/p>\n

Once inside the salt flat, we will visit the Dakar monument<\/strong>, the Salt Museum<\/strong> and the Incahuasi Island<\/strong>, which is right in the middle of the salt flat. There, we will be able to take a short walk to the highest part and enjoy the 360\u00b0 view of the salt flat. Also, we will be able to see from up close the large cactus that adorn this limestone rock formation. After this experience, we will have lunch and settle down to watch the sunset over the salt flat<\/strong>, a true spectacle of nature. Afterwards, we will return in our vehicle to finish the Salar de Uyuni 1D Tour.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>

Train Cemetery – Colchani – Incahuasi Island<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Day 1<\/h5>\n

<\/i><\/span> \u00a0First we start with the pick up from the hotel in uyuni, then we will go to the train cemetery to see the old locomotives.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/span> Then we head to the community of Colchani (the gateway to the Salar) where we will find rustic handicraft workshops and the rustic micro-processor of table salt.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/span>\u00a0Continuing with the expedition to the majestic Salar de Uyuni we will make stops to see salt extractions, salt eyes and the salt hotel Playa Blanca which currently only functions as a museum.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/span>\u00a0Later we will visit the most popular island of the Salar located in the middle of the Salar, the Incahuasi Island<\/a> where we will hike and we can appreciate large expanses of cactus, sea rock fossils and spectacular 360\u00b0 views from the viewpoint.<\/p>\n

    \nThe highest point during the trek is 4800 meters above sea level.<\/li>\n
  6. About health and safety?<\/span><\/strong>
    \nParticipants must inform us before and during the tour of any medical condition or injury. Although our guides carry first aid kits, it is recommended that you bring your own personal medication. We also suggest that you consult your doctor before booking this tour.<\/li>\n
  7. Where to store your belongings?<\/span><\/strong>
    \nAny belongings (suitcases and backpacks) that you do not wish to take with you during the tour can be safely left at your accommodation, as they have a luggage storage service. However, if you do not feel comfortable leaving your things there, you can also bring them to our office to store them during the tour.<\/li>\n
