\"PLAZA<\/p>\n

The Wanchaq District in Cusco, Peru<\/a>, is one of eight districts that make up the province of Cusco, located in the department of Cusco, under the administration of the Regional Government of Cusco in Peru.<\/p>\n

History<\/h3>\n

The founder and administrator of the district of W\u00e1nchaq was Mr. Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Zavaleta Flores. He was the first and second mayor, serving for life.
\nThis district was created by Law No. 12336 of June 10, 1955, during the administration of President Manuel A. Odr\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Geographical Data<\/strong><\/p>\n

The territory of this district covers 6.38 square kilometers and has an altitude of 3,363 meters above sea level.<\/p>\n

Population<\/strong><\/p>\n

The district has a population of approximately 60,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n

Cusco:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Peruvian province of Cusco is one of the thirteen that make up the Department of Cusco. It is bordered to the north by the provinces of Calca and Urubamba, to the east by the province of Quispicanchi, to the south by the province of Paruro, and to the west by the province of Anta.<\/p>\n
