Chachani es mucho m\u00e1s ancho que alto.<\/p>\n<p>Su ascenso es pr\u00e1cticamente un trekking de altitud. Pero ojo, hablamos de \u201cf\u00e1cil\u201d en cuanto a lo t\u00e9cnico, eso no elimina el peligro presente siempre en cualquier monta\u00f1a ni quita que tenga riesgos y toca tener muy en cuenta el factor \u00abaltitud\u00bb, ya que la altura juega siempre un papel muy peligroso cuando no se cuenta con la debida aclimataci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Estudios revelaron que en el pasado sus erupciones fueron muy explosivas, incluso superiores a las del volc\u00e1n Misti, lo que lo cataloga como un coloso muy peligroso.<br \/>\nEl camino est\u00e1 lleno de paisajes de extrema altura, desde donde se aprecia la cadena de monta\u00f1as del sur del Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #666699;\">Historia viva<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>El Volcan Chachani, como los m\u00e1s importantes nevados del Per\u00fa, fue un \u201cApu\u201d muy importante y divinidad seg\u00fan la cosmovisi\u00f3n Andina o la Cultura Inca. En la cadena de monta\u00f1as cercanas all\u00ed se hallaron ofrendas de sacrificios humanos incas (el llamado ritual de la capacocha). Se trata del segundo nevado que predomina en la ciudad de Arequipa. Nuestros ancestros tambi\u00e9n sintieron una fuerte conexi\u00f3n con la naturaleza, ya que ellos sol\u00edan rendir culto al sol y la luna, como tambi\u00e9n a la tierra misma. Por esta raz\u00f3n, los volcanes Misti, Pichu Picchu y Chachani tuvieron un significado m\u00edstico para estas civilizaciones.<br \/>\nDurante el siglo XX se construy\u00f3 caminos afirmados que conducen a la cima del nevado.<\/p>\n<p>En la actualidad muchas poblaciones cercanas mantienen la costumbre del sacrificio y el respeto a la monta\u00f1a. La m\u00e1s tur\u00edstica es una ruta de 2 d\u00edas a pie, luego de un primer tramo en auto desde la ciudad de Arequipa. La ruta alcanza la parte alta del lado norte de la monta\u00f1a, luego de 8 horas de caminata aproximadamente.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #808000;\">D\u00eda 1:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Viaje en transporte terrestre de 3 horas, desde la ciudad de Arequipa hasta la ladera del nevado Chachani (5,100 metros de altitud). Luego se contin\u00faa a pie en ascenso por 2 horas hacia el campamento en la \u2018Pampa de arrieros\u2019 (5,200 metros de altitud). All\u00ed se pasa la noche con todos los utensilios requeridos para prevenir el intenso fr\u00edo.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #808000;\">D\u00eda 2:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Desde temprano se realiza una caminata de aproximadamente 8 horas hacia lo alto del nevado (6 mil metros de altitud). Desde all\u00ed se tiene una vista impresionante de la cordillera de los Andes que rodea el lugar. Finalmente, se retorna a pie hasta el campamento, desde donde se tomar\u00e1 el transporte terrestre hacia la ciudad de Arequipa.<\/p>\n<p>En caso de que est\u00e9s considerando escalar el Volc\u00e1n Chachani, aseg\u00farate de elegir un operador confiable ya que estar\u00e1s visitando un lugar alto con un terreno muy estable.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">\u00bfComo es el clima?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>El clima en el nevado Chachani es extremadamente fr\u00edo, con temperaturas nocturnas que descienden hasta los -15\u00baC. (5\u00baF). Por el d\u00eda, la temperatura puede alcanzar los 5\u00baC. (41\u00baF). La estaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s lluvias ocurre de noviembre a marzo (especialmente enero, febrero y marzo).
