Itinerary

7 Lagoons – Ausangate Full Day

1

Day 1:

We will be going through your HOTEL (within the historic center of Cusco) arousn 4:30 am, and then leave for the “PACCHANTA” community. It is located on the slopes of the  snowy “Ausangate”, at 4200 meters above sea level.

  We will arrive in Pacchanta: In this community we will have our breakfast (approximately 7:30a.m.), and then go into the middle of the Andes mountain to visit “7 beautiful lakes of Ausangate” at the beginning we will walk about 5 to 6 km.

The first lagoon (1:30 hrs. approx.), then we will continue this visiting other lagoons, in the middle of the Andes mountain range, surrounded by wonderful fauna and vegetation, it will be a 10 km route. approximately (5 hours)

  We will return to the community of “PACCHANTA” to enjoy the hot springs, after that our lunch.

Finally return to Cusco aroun 18:00 hrs

Carry on a Waterproof jacket/rain poncho (Depending on the rainy station from December to March)

It is located about three hours south of Cusco by car on the Rainbow mountain route.

2.- Should I bring extra water to the  Tour?

You should bring an extra water bottle to avoid dehydration.

3.- How mady days do I need to acclimatize before my tour?

We recommend at least 2 days of acclimatization before the tour.

4.- Are meals are included?

Both breakfast and lunch are included in the trek. In adition we also have vegetarian and vegan options available.

The highest point during the trek is 4630 meters above sea level.

6.- About health and safety

Although our guides carry first aid kits, it is recommended that you bring your own personal medication for personal use. We also suggest that you consult your doctor before booking this tour.

7.- Best time to go

The best time to visit is in dry season, to clarify the city of Cusco has 2 types of weather:

  • First: Rainy season that oscillates between the months of December to March.
  • Second: Dry season that oscillates between the months of April to November.
