Resumen
Ayahuasca is a traditional psychoactive drink from the Amazonian region, it is used in ceremonies of purification, learning and healing for therapeutic, spiritual and religious purposes.
Its elaboration is based on two plants: ayahuasca life (Banisteropis caapi) and chacruna leaf (Psychotria viridis), this has the ability to induce intense psychedelic experiences, in which the user can have visions, sensations and perceptions that allow access to an altered state of consciousness..
However, it also carries risks, especially if consumed in excess or in inappropriate contexts, it is also dangerous for people suffering from mental and cardiac diseases, yahuasca also carries some side effects (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tachycardia, high blood pressure, sedation and confusion).
