Isla del Sol, picturesque place and one of the most special of Lake Titicaca, is located 2 hours south of Copacabana with an extension of 9.6 km long by 4.8 km. wide, with an impressive view of the royal mountain range of the Andes, surrounded by mystical energy and natural beauty. Supported also by mythology, where the first two Incas Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo were born.
The 1 day Sun and Moon Island Tour starts and ends in Bolivia, we will start with the visit to the Sun Island where the archaeological site Pikokaina is located, we will also visit one of the chinkanas, the Sacred Rock and for the end we will visit the Moon Island or also called Coatí Island, where we will visit the Palace of the Virgins of the Sun or Iñakuyo.

Sun and Moon Tour

Day 1
We will start the Sun and Moon Island Tour 1 day, with the pick up from the hotel in Copacabana 08:00 Hrs to go to the pier from where we will start the tour.
Then, we will cross the Titicaca Lake until we arrive to the south side of the Sun Island, where we will visit the archaeological site of Pikokaina (Temple of the Sun).
Then the southern part of the Isla del Sol and descend the stairs of Yumani dating from Inca times, at the end of these steps is the fountain of eternal youth and the Inca garden.
Then we will descend to the dock to take the boat and go to Challapampa where we will visit the Chinkana and the Sacred Rock (where the sun was born and the founders of the Andean culture according to mythological stories).
Then we will go back down to the dock to go to the Moon Island where we will visit the archaeological remains of the Temple of the Moon and the house of the Virgins of the Sun.
