OVERVIEW
Explore the Amazon jungle on an exciting 3 days and 2 nights Manu Tour from Cusco to Amazon Manu Lodge. Discover the lush Amazon rainforest, explore the unique biodiversity, spot macaws and enjoy exciting activities.
On the first day, you will depart early from Cusco and pass through valleys between mountains, visiting pre-Inca tombs and the charming colonial town of Paucartambo. After lunch in the cloud forest, you will continue to the port of Atalaya and take a motor boat to the jungle lodge.
The second day will begin with a visit to the macaw clay lick, followed by a walk through the forest. After breakfast, you will have the option of ziplining and exploring Machuwasi Lake in search of birds and wildlife. In the evening, you will take a night walk to observe insects and amphibians. On the third day, you can relax in the hot springs of Atalaya before returning to Cusco by bus.

Day 1: Cusco (3,300 m.a.s.l.) – Cloud Forest (1,700 m.a.s.l.) – Amazon Manu lodge (400 m.a.s.l.)
Departing early from Cusco, the first day will take us through the valleys and mountains of the Andes, passing through charming rural communities. On the way, we will explore the pre-Inca tombs of the Lupaca culture and stop in the beautiful colonial town of Paucartambo, where we will visit its fascinating museum. During lunch in the cloud forest, we will have the opportunity to admire the diversity of endemic species, such as the spectacled bear and the cock of the rock, the Peruvian national bird. We will continue our journey down to the port of Atalaya, from where we will embark on a motor boat for an exciting 30-minute ride downriver to the Amazon Manu Lodge, where we will spend our first night.

Day 2: AMAZON MANU LODGE- PARROTS’ COLPSE -ZIP LINE -LAKE MACHUWASI (400 m.a.s.l.) NIGHT HIKING
Early in the morning, we will embark on our boat to the macaw clay lick, where several species of parrots gather to feed on clay, rich in minerals, which helps them digest toxins. After this unique experience, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Afterwards, we will head into the forest for a 2 to 3 hour hike, followed by a well-deserved lunch and time to relax or swim in the river. Those who want adventure can opt for the zip line.
In the afternoon, we will explore Lake Machuwasi in rafts, spotting birds such as the hoatzin and possibly other animals such as monkeys and capybaras. We will conclude the day with a night walk in search of insects and amphibians, followed by dinner and overnight at the lodge. In addition, we offer the free option of zip-lining, where guests can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Amazon rainforest and then take a thrilling 20-meter rappel (optional fishing).

Day 3: AMAZON MANU HOSTEL -AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will have the option of bathing in the hot springs of Atalaya to relax before heading back. Then, we will head to the port of Atalaya, where our bus will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. On the way back, we will stop for lunch and continue to enjoy the scenery. We expect to arrive in Cusco between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., thus culminating our incredible journey through the Amazon jungle.
