Hot waters of La Raya
Hot waters of La Raya
Location
La Raya is located on the border between the southern and central Andes and gives rise to the Vilcanota Valley.
The hot springs of La Raya are located in the Marangani district, Canchis province.
Description
The La Raya hot springs, also known as the Occobamba Inca Baths Eco-Tourism Complex, originated in a spring and reach temperatures of up to 52°C. These waters have healing properties for rheumatism and arthritis, as they contain various minerals that are found at high temperatures in contact with our skin and are easily absorbed.
The area is hydrothermal; hot water, mud, and gases emerge from cracks in the ground. The water is yellowish in color because it is odorless. The site has two indoor pools and two bungalows, as well as changing rooms for bathers.
