How to get to Ollantaytambo from Cusco?

HOW TO GET TO OLLANTAYTAMBO FROM CUSCO?

PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION
This is the most expensive and fastest way to get there. Private transportation can pick you up from anywhere in the city, and you can even get a quote at the airport. You can make stops along the way and enjoy the scenery. Travel time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
MINIVAN: On Pavitos Street, you will find shared taxis, which are the most affordable option ($4 USD / 15 soles).
BUS: The terminal is also located on Calle Pavitos (3 USD / 10.00 soles).
TRAVEL AGENCY
You have the option of booking a Sacred Valley tour (Pisaq – Ollantaytambo archaeological center) or Super Sacred Valley tour (Chinchero, Moray, Salineras, and Ollantaytambo archaeological center). At the end of the tours, you must stay in the town of Ollantaytambo. You can spend the night in Ollantaytambo or take the train to the town of Machu Picchu.

The town is magical, with picturesque streets dating back to the Inca era. You can see Inca walls and canals that still supply water to the town today. From the square, you can see the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo and Pinkuylluna Hill. In the town, you will find restaurants, hotels, a market, bars, pizzerias, and train stations.
