The two main companies operating these services are PeruRail and Inca Rail, and their services range from budget options to luxury panoramic experiences, all with large windows to appreciate the scenery of the Urubamba River.

Tourist Train 

  • Inca Rail (Especial Service): 
    • The Voyager: Similar to a standard train with good comfort.
    • 360°: With a roof or panoramic windows for views from different angles.
    • First Class or Private: Options with more space, comfort, and additional services, ideal for a more personalized experience.

 

  • PeruRail (Tourist Service):
    • Expedition: The most popular and economical option, with comfortable seats and windows for enjoying the scenery.
    • Vistadome: A train with larger panoramic windows to enjoy views of the Sacred Valley during the journey.

Local Train 

In addition to the tourist trains, there is also a local train that operates between Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu/Aguas Calientes. This service is more economical and is primarily intended for local residents, although in some cases it may be accessible to local tourists.
