Summary
ATV Tour to the Abode of the Gods
Experience an unforgettable adventure combining adrenaline, breathtaking Andean landscapes, and monumental art! Hop on an ATV and ride along mountain-lined trails until you reach one of the most mystical places in Cusco! The Abode of the Gods, also known as Apukunaq Tianan, is a fascinating sculptural complex located approximately 13 kilometers from Cusco’s historic center. This monumental work blends contemporary art with the rich Andean worldview, bringing to life gigantic sculptures carved directly into the natural rock formations.
This tour is designed for those seeking more than a conventional visit. After a brief instruction, you’ll take control of your ATV and ride along safe, scenic paths. Once there, you’ll see sculptures representing gods and mythical figures from Andean culture, such as Pachamama, Apukuna, the condor, the puma, and the god Wiracocha. You’ll have time to take photos, hear the story behind the site, and connect with the Apus (sacred mountain spirits).
No previous experience is needed—just a thirst for adventure! This tour is perfect for groups of friends, couples, or solo travelers looking for a unique way to explore the history and landscapes of Cusco.
