Summary

Tour to Pallay Punchu or Apu Tacllo

Tour to Pallay Punchu of Apu T’acllo in Cusco. Its name, “Pallay Punchu“, in Quechua translates to “Red Mountain,” also known as the Filuda Mountain of Colors. The name refers to the Andean poncho, a typical garment that resembles the colors of this mountain, ranging from intense red to deep blue, passing through green, yellow, and white. It is the third Rainbow Mountain in Cusco, after Vinicunca and Palcoyo.

Known since the quarantine (Covid-19) through social media, it is located in the district of Layo, in the southern region of Cusco, at an approximate altitude of 4,700 meters above sea level.

Pallay Punchu stands out for its lines, perfectly sculpted by nature. The formation of this mountain occurred with sedimentary layers that eventually became mountains and slopes. Over time, the oxidized minerals gave the mountain its colorful hues. Pallay Punchu is the living proof that nature is the most talented artist of all.

This place is perfect for all adventure and nature tourism enthusiasts.

Join us and be part of this wonderful and colorful adventure, where you can admire beautiful landscapes filled with grasslands, stunning red-hued lands, as well as the unique flora and fauna of the area.
