This incredible tour Lares Trek 4 Days to Machu Picchu is a complete adventure through the valley, we will begin our hike through a valley with lush vegetation, we will know the pass of the Abra Pachactec Mountain where we will have breathtaking views of glaciers and some Andean lakes, then we will see the Abra Willkiccasa from here we will see the mountains.

Itinerario

Cusco – Calca – Huaran – Canchacancha

Day 1
  • We will pick you up early in the morning to start the trekking through a trail that will take us to the community of Canchacancha.
  • After 3 hours of walking we will stop at a strategic point where we will have lunch to replenish energy, after lunch we will walk 2 hours to the community of Canchacancha.
  • Here we will set up our camp around 5:00 p.m., at night we will have a delicious dinner around 7:00 p.m., you can enjoy a clear sky full of stars.

Canchacancha – Pachacutec pass – Lago Coyalayo – Quiswarani.

Day 2
  • The second day we will reach the pass of the Abra Pachacutec Mountain which has an altitude of over 4400 m.a.s.l. where we will enjoy breathtaking views of the lagoons of the valley.
  • Then we will have a delicious lunch to replenish energy and continue with the hike downhill to Quiswarani, a community dedicated to textiles from where we will continue uphill towards the beautiful Queuñaqocha Lagoon where we will set up camp.

Day 3
  • We will start with a good breakfast to begin the hike passing Andean villages until we reach the Abra Willkiccasa, at 4100 m.a.s.l..
  • From there we will enjoy impressive views of both sides of the pass, especially of the Colquecruz and Pitusiray mountains.
  • Then we will arrive to the community of Cuncani from where we will leave to Lares the capital of the district of the same name, the main attraction is its hot springs in all is optional if you want to enter.
  • In the afternoon we will take a bus that will take us to Ollantaytambo where a train to Aguas Calientes awaits us.
  • Overnight in a hostel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 4
  • We will wake up very early for breakfast and then depart on a meandering hike that will take us to the mythical citadel of Machu Picchu.
  • We will have a guided tour and then free time to explore the area.
  • You will return on your own to Aguas Calientes and take the train back to Cusco at the appointed time.
