Isla del Sol, picturesque place and one of the most special of Lake Titicaca, is located 2 hours south of Copacabana with an extension of 9.6 km long by 4.8 km. wide, with an impressive view of the royal mountain range of the Andes, surrounded by mystical energy and natural beauty. Supported also by mythology, where the first two Incas Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo were born.
The 1 day Sun and Moon Island Tour starts and ends in Bolivia, we will start with the visit to the Sun Island where the archaeological site Pikokaina is located, we will also visit one of the chinkanas, the Sacred Rock and for the end we will visit the Moon Island or also called Coatí Island, where we will visit the Palace of the Virgins of the Sun or Iñakuyo.

Sun and Moon Tour

Día 1
We will start the Sun and Moon Island Tour 1 day, with the pick up from the hotel in Copacabana 08:00 Hrs to go to the pier from where we will start the tour.
Afterwards, we will cross Lake Titicaca until we reach the south side of Isla del Sol, where we will visit the archaeological site of Pikokaina (Temple of the Sun).
We will visit, Fountain of the three waters: You can visit this place, after climbing the stairs of the Inca; it is the proof of the advances in hydraulics that the pre-Hispanic people achieved. The Temple of Pilkokaina: In this temple that was of sun worship you can see a pre-Hispanic building and Inca architecture, and the windows of the temple are facing east.
Then we will go back down to the dock to go to the island of the Moon where we will visit the archaeological remains of the Temple of the Moon and the house of the Virgins of the Sun.
We will board the boat to Copacabana, arrival time approximately 17:00 hrs. Return to Copacabana.
