Day 1

First we will pick you up from your hotel at 3:00 am, then we will go to a strategic place to observe the stars and the beautiful sunrise inside the uyuni salt flat.


This night tour can be done in both seasons of the year, but a better option is to do it in the rainy season, as this way we can witness the mirror effect produced by the water layer that forms in this place.

After having enjoyed this view, we will wait for the sunrise, culminating this tour at 7.00 am, then we will drive you to your hotel, the Uyuni airport or the Uyuni bus station.

Is it mandatory to hire a tour and can I go on my own?

It is not mandatory but highly recommended. You must take into account that there are hardly any signs on the road and the Salar is the perfect place to get lost since there are hardly any visual references and it has 10,500 square kilometers of extension. The risks of getting stranded in the rainy season if you do not know the terrain are also very high. In any case you will need a 4×4 vehicle.
