The economic option is to take one of the buses (12-15 soles) to Cusco. Ollantaytambo – RAMAL de MARAS, This is where the road crosses the road to the town of MARAS before reaching Chinchero.

In Ramal you will find cabs / buses that charge about 50 soles to make the tour of Moray and Salineras. After the tour you must take a car back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo.

The most practical and safest way to do the tour is through a travel agency either in a group or private service, according to your preference.

Day 1

Pick up from hotel
Our tour starts with the pick up from the hotel or train station in Ollantaytambo at the agreed time from 8:00 am to 9:00 am.

Stop at Moray
After the respective pick up, we continue along the route of the Sacred Valley until our first stop at the archaeological center of Moray where we will have a guided tour, on the way we can observe its beautiful landscapes appreciating the flora and fauna of each site surrounded by mountains and snow-capped particular to this attraction.

Agricultural terraces
Within the archaeological site of Moray we will visit the agricultural terraces, they are a group of circular terraces that have an approximate depth of 150 cm, according to some chroniclers and historians Moray was an Inca agricultural laboratory, as they have their irrigation canals and each level is a micro climate.

Visit to the salt mines of Maras
Then we will go to the salt mines of Maras where we can appreciate the salt ponds. We will also have a guided tour and we will be able to buy products made of salt. This place has 2000 salt wells, currently the salt wells are exploited by local families.

Return to Cusco
After this tour we will return to the city.
