Tour Monkey Island Iquitos, in this one day tour you will visit a refuge where 7 species of monkeys live temporarily in rehabilitation, these are survivors of deforestation and illegal hunting.
The Monkey Island is located 30km from the city of Iquitos, where live about 7 species of monkeys (Howler Monkey, Titi Monkey, Tocón Monkey, Little Lion Monkey, Spider Monkey, Maquisapa and Choro Monkey), this refuge has been for 26 years where they are dedicated to rescue and rehabilitate monkeys, after their adaptation period they return them to their natural habitat.
Also on the island you can find a variety of Amazonian flora and fauna.
Itinerario
Monkey Island Tour Iquitos
We will start with the pick up from the hotel to the port (only the pick up near the square).
After boarding at the port of Manay, we will sail down the Amazon River observing the impressive Amazonian landscapes.
Arriving at the island we will disembark to go to the refuge where we will see the 7 species of monkeys that are in rehabilitation.
Then we will go to the Amazon River for a search of dolphins, pink and gray (seasonal only).
Return by the Amazon River.
We will finish at the starting point.
