Summary

7 Colors Mountain and Red Valley Tour

In the 7 Colors Mountain and Red Valley Tour you can appreciate the 7 Colors Mountain, also known as Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain, is one of the most impressive natural destinations in Cusco, Peru. Located in the province of Canchis, within the communities of Pitumarca and Cusipata, this geological wonder has become one of the most popular excursions for lovers of trekking and landscape photography.

About 100 km from the city of Cusco, and at an altitude of approximately 5,200 meters above sea level, Vinicunca dazzles with its multicolored stripes, the result of the oxidation of minerals such as iron and copper that stain the mountain with red, green, yellow and turquoise tones. This unique natural formation in the Peruvian Andes offers spectacular views and an unforgettable experience for those who venture to reach it.

During the trek, you will also have the opportunity to appreciate the Andean wildlife, such as llamas and alpacas, which graze freely in the mountainous environment, providing an authentic contact with the rural life of Peru.

The hike to the top of the 7 Colors Mountain has an approximate duration of 2 hours, and is part of an adventure route accessible to people with moderate physical condition. As part of the tour, you will also visit the impressive Mirador del Valle Rojo, located very close to Vinicunca. This place offers an unparalleled panoramic view of a set of mountains tinged with intense red, less known but equally amazing. Its tranquility makes it an ideal place to connect with Andean nature.

Exploring the Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley is a unique experience that combines surreal landscapes, living culture and outdoor adventure, making this excursion a must during your visit to Cusco.
